316L Surgical Grade Stainless Steel
We only use the highest quality of 316L grade steel to ensure the safety of the users. We understand that not all stainless steels are suitable for piercing and we are very aware and concerned for the healthy of our customers: We carry independent laboratory testing certificates on file indicating that our body piercing jewelry are suitable for piercing applications. While allergic reactions could occur, it is very rare that the reaction is from the actual steel itself, but from other factors such as mechanical irritation or harsh cleaning products. All in all, our surgical grade stainless steel is biocompatible and safe to use. With a high luster shine finish that can be sterilized through the autoclave process, 316L surgical grade stainless steel will remain at the top as the priority choice for piercers alike.

Titanium Anodized Steel
At HalftoneBodyJewelry.com, we go through extensive procedures to produce the most vibrant & shiny titanium anodized surface on all body piercing jewelries produced in such manner. Instead of 1 step procedure that many manufacturers operate on, we go through 7 step anodizing procedure to produce that perfect vibrant color every time! See the difference in colors we produce and we are confident that you will love what we have to offer!

Gold Plated Steel
Our electro-plated gold plated jewelries shine luxuriously just like the real gold! Multi-layers of real 14 karat gold coated over our high quality 316L Surgical Steel, we guarantee you will love the luster finish of our gold plated jewelry collection. Colors are so rich and luscious, you won't be able to tell the difference between the real gold and our gold plated jewelries, minus the price! Enjoy the superior quality at the lowest price possible.

Acrylic
Acrylic is the most popular form of plastic known in the body piercing scene, due to its low cost, versatility, and being lightweight. Acrylic body jewelry also benefits from having many color traits, such as vibrant or translucent in both Ultra violet reactive and glow in the dark. From belly rings to plugs, we offer countless varieties of acrylic items for you to choose from. Please be aware that while acrylic body jewelries are safe to use generally, it should not be used in fresh piercings and should only be worn short-term in a well-healed piercing. Acrylic in all forms should not be autoclaved for sterilization.

Silicone
Silicone is widely used in body piercing scenes today. All silicones that we carry are implant grade, bio-compatible, and ultra light weight, providing the maximum comfort when worn, as well as the guaranteed safety in healed piercings. Silicone is a great choice for people who are sensitive to metals in any way. While silicone is benefitting in many aspects of piercings, it is not meant to be used in fresh piercings or while stretching, as the material can cling to skin, causing an irritation. Please be aware of anyone claiming any plastic (silicone, rubber, or acrylic) is safe to use in fresh piercing or while stretching. While they are very comfortable and safe to use in fully healed piercings, there are no silicone & acrylic suitable for any fresh piercings.

Bio-Flex & PTFE
Bio-Flex & PTFE (aka teflon) are both bio-compatible and hypo-allergenic, mainly benefitting from their property of being flexible and safe. If you are looking for comfort and safety to use for piercings, our line-up of Bio-Flex & PTFE are great option to those with a severe sensitivity to all metal jewelry. Better yet, Bio-Flex & PTFE are proven to be successful for dermal piercings and implants with lower rejection rates.

Borosilicate Glass
Borosilicate glass, generally known as pyrex glass, is one of the best material available for body piercing jewelry. Glasses used to create our body jewelry are tempered, medical grade, non-porous, and lead & nickel free: They make a great alternative to steel or titanium with simply jaw dropping designs and colors that will amaze you. Glass jewelries can be sterilized through autoclave machine and are generally safe for all piercing stage. A bit of a trade off may be that glass jewelries are not as strong as metal jewelries and do possess a possibility of breaking, even though they have been annealed to be extremely sturdy and durable.
